Burlington Youth Angler Gains National Recognition

Nick Beaupre, overall winner of the 1997 Child Anglers Open Species fishing derby, has been awarded an additional prize by Hooked on Fishing International. Nick’s 4.51 lb lake trout was entered into the 1997 Kids All-American Fishing Derby “Big Fish Contest”. It turns out the Nick’s fish was the largest caught in a 1997 Vermont kid oriented event. He received a Plano Tackle Box as his prize. Ch.A.O.S. is a child anglers fishing derby hosted by Burlington Parks and Recreation usually in June.
