The 1999 Gold Cup Regatta has moved to a site near Montreal, Canada in Pointe Claire, Quebec, on Lac Ste Louis. The site is approximately three miles East of where the 1995 Gold Cup was held in Beaconsfield.
If your interested in watching some of the action, take Route 20 to the Cartier Ave Exit in Pointe Claire.
The flag raising ceremony will be held on Saturday February 20, at 1500 with the first race starts at 1000 Sunday morning.
Just in case it snows, Trenton, Ontario, three hours West, is being considered as an alternate site. Lac de Chen in Ottawa, Ontario, 1.5 hours Northwest, is another alternate.
