The Lake Champlain Basin Program is seeking to fund community based projects that will help implement Opportunities for Action: An Evolving Plan for the Future of the Lake Champlain Basin. Up to $145,000 will be available through LCBP’s Annual Priorities grants program and up to $63,000 is available through the Partnership Program sponsored by Vermont and New York Citizens Advisory Committees. The deadline for submitting applications is March 15, 1999. Communities, 501(c)(3) organizations and other entities may apply under one or both grant programs.
Since 1992, the Lake Champlain Basin Program has awarded 283 grants to organizations that are helping to meet the long-term pollution prevention and restoration goals for Lake Champlain. Local organizations, communities, citizen groups and the private sector continue to be important partners in implementing the plan for the future of Lake Champlain.
