The mission of the Science Center is to educate visitors about Lake Champlain basin ecology, history and culture in a dynamic hands-on environment.The Lake Champlain Basin Science Center, is a hands-on museum, with exhibits relating to the natural sciences, ecology, and geology.

Summer Hours:     Daily 11:00 to 17:00
Admission:   $2 Adults, $1 Children

Hold a sea star, make-and-take a turtle or frong, see lake sturgeon, listen to the sounds of the wetlands and see theBurlington Waterfront 100 years ago.

Saturday, June 26, 13:00: The Ragile World or Frogs —Find out the latest information on frong and amphibian declines with Katie Clayton and VPIRG.

Saurday, July 17-Sunday, July 25: Celebrate the lake Week, demonstrations daily.

Saturday, July 24, 13:00-15:00: Time Travel Cruise —Travel into Lake Champlain’s geological past on the Essex Ferryboat. Leave from King Street Ferry Dock $10/person

Wednesday, August 11, 8:30-10:30: Perseid Meteor Showers Star Cruise —Take a trip on the Valcour ferry boat to see the star! Leaving from the King Street Ferry Dock. $10/person.
